Social Impact

Since our humble beginnings, we've been on a mission to make a difference through food. A portion of every transaction supports The Migrant Kitchen Initiative, JDE’s 501(c)(3) charitable foundation. With nearly 4 million meals provided to food-insecure communities since 2020, The Migrant Kitchen Initiative is not just feeding stomachs - they are feeding souls.

Food insecurity is more than an empty plate; it’s the source of countless health, economic, and social challenges. When people lack access to nutritious, culturally relevant meals, it can lead to chronic disease, unemployment, and cycles of poverty that are hard to escape. The Migrant Kitchen Initiative believes that addressing hunger is the first step toward building stronger, healthier, and more resilient communities. By tackling food insecurity head-on, they aim to reduce food insecurity at the community level by providing free meals to New Yorkers in need, ensuring that all meals are culturally relevant and served with dignity and respect.
